In December of 2002, I was living in Bradenton, Florida with my wife, Gladys Moreno. (She passed away in 2007.) While I was there, I received the invitation from Crossroads to mentor Spanish speaking inmates and correct weekly Bible lessons. Each month the student will complete 4 lessons, and I correct the responses and return it to Crossroads. Over the years I have corrected over 700 lessons. I truly enjoy doing this, and it has given me a continuous purpose to serve the Lord from home. This has been an excellent opportunity to minister and be an encouragement to these inmates as they serve their time in prison. I am able to congratulate them on their progress and motivate them to read God's Word and accept Christ as their Savior. I was able to establish strong relationships with about 4 men. They expressed how blessed they were to have this access to Bible lessons while in prison. They have now moved on with their lives. I continue to pray for them that these lessons will forever live in their hearts and minds.

I am honored to serve the Lord even though I am 89 years old. At church I am able to assist the pastor with Bible lessons as well as preaching when he is absent. At home, I lead Bible Study with my wife, Arcelia Moreno, and her adult children each day. My life journey has always been to serve the Lord with a thankful heart and be purposeful in my relationships with people. I want to show my appreciation for your continual financial support and prayers.
