"For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
Santos Rivera was a faithful servant of the Lord during his lifetime, and now that his work on earth is complete, he has joined our Lord in heaven. It is with mixed emotions of sadness and joy that we say farewell to a husband, father, friend, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
Santos Rivera went to be with the Lord at exactly 9:00 AM on November 17, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Testimonies about Santos
"This is a difficult time full of grief for all of us. Santos, my father, was an incredible man of God. He served in various ministries, founded many churches, led many souls to Christ, and founded a seminary. The list goes on of all his services to God."
~Samuel Rivera
Santos' son
"My dear brother Santos Rivera has been for me a great example of a diligent and dedicated worker. I have always admired him greatly. I thank God for Santos' testimony and for the impact he has had in my life since the day I met him in Honduras, in our times together in California and in the weeks of classes in Guatemala. Thank the Lord for the hope we have in Christ that Santos preached wherever he went. I continue to pray for his wife and family. If this message reaches heaven, I want to say, 'Thank you again, my beloved brother Santos. I admire you and love you with all my heart. We will see each other when the Lord calls me to join you in heaven.'"

"Santos was a pioneer with us in the Doctor of Ministry program extension at SETECA. He worked very hard to qualify and was an outstanding student. His superior intellect, excellent ministry skills and warm spirit honors our great God and his memory."

"Santos was my pastor. His teaching helped me grow. When we started the Seminario I began to attend. I will always remember his smile. He always had a smile and enthusiasm for us."
"I liked the Old Testament better after our classes in it. Things really became more clear. He explained it well. I will miss him."
"Santos and América were well organized. They kept things in order. This helped us all."
"Santos used his accordion for services. He carried it all over. In Honduras this was the music."
"Santos' warm smile was always there. When he was giving us a test, it was even stronger."
When a lady needed compassion and love expressed, Santos and América were the first there to give her a hug and encourage her. All of us can learn from that."
Meeting for classes in the office, with all the books, it was a library. I realized Santos really used and knew these books. That was, and is, a challenge to me to continue studying." |
