It is hard to believe that 15 years ago the Lord brought our family here to the Central Valley of California from Santa Clara (Silicon Valley) and to MGF to minister to the Indian Immigrant Community. Perhaps we were the first Indo–American ethnic missionaries to join MGF in 1995. It is a blessing to see that today MGF has expanded to have an active roster of South Asian ministries under its organization. Each ministry has its unique call and vision for reaching this diverse community of people from India.

Our vision has always been to help with the felt needs of the Indian Community. This vision led to the opening of the India Friendship Center (IFC) in 2000. In these nine years nearly 4,000 people have come to our center. We have had the opportunity to pray for people, read the Bible with them and pass out literature and Jesus videos. Some of these students have confessed Jesus as their Savior and we praise the Lord for their salvation. We also thank the Lord for the wonderful volunteers who have helped us throughout the years. Presently we have students from Turlock, Ceres, Livingston, Delhi and Manteca. Pray for the people who walk through our doors that we may share the good news of Jesus.

At IFC there are many stories of how God is working in people’s lives. These past few months God has been doing some amazing things for a Sikh man who came to our office. This young man came to the U.S. a few months ago. In India he lost one of his legs and did not have a proper prosthetic, making it difficult for him to perform everyday tasks. A simple prosthetic leg costs thousands of dollars which he and his family could not afford. As I prayed with them, the Lord opened a door. A company in San Francisco donated a state-of-the-art prosthetic leg for him. He is currently undergoing fittings for his new leg. Keep him in your prayers that he may come to know the Lord.

The Lord has enabled us to plant a church in Modesto. The India, Fiji and Pakistan Church meets every Sunday afternoon at the Modesto Covenant Church facility. We are happy to see new people join the church.
