In Memory of

Glady Victoria Ballantine-Moreno
1925-2007

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant...
Enter into the joy of the Lord."
Matthew 5:21

Gladys Moreno went home to be with our Lord in heaven on December 18,2007, just in time to fulfill her heart's desire to be with Jesus Christ for Christmas. It is with sadness and joy that we bid farewell to a wife, friend, and faithful servant.

Testimonies about Gladys

Gladys, me has dado los mejores anos de tu vida. Te estoy extranando.
~ Tu Darling, Jose
Glady's husband

My mother has left me a strong Christian legacy. Ever since I can remember, she taught me to pray, ask the Lord for HIS will for my life and to TRUST HIM every step of the way. Growing up, I began to understand how important those three things were for every decision I had to make. From deciding on which college to attend, praying for a spouse and raising a family of my own. She leaves us with her very long and detailed prayer list for so many of us all over the world, her Words of Encouragement ringing in our ears, her love for the unsaved, and her desire to read God's Word everyday.
~Maria Parra
Glady's daughter

Gladys was a hard worker with three brothers and three sisters. If someone knew her as a teenager, "Beware, there is a boy in Bolivia who will cross your path and whisper sweet words to you," she would never have believed it. But it happened. Bolivia was 5000 miles from Brooklyn. Not only did she become friends with Jose, but she fell in love with him. It became a marriage that glorified God and lasted for 42 years. The punctuation mark that signals death of a Christian is not a period but a comma. The believer is transported from life on earth to life eternally in glory.
~Parker Ballantine
Glady's brother

I love grandma because she was very sweet to me. I loved playing games with her because she let my sister and I beat her if we haven't won. I will MISS her very much!
~Vanessa Parra
Glady's granddaughter

I love grandma because she was very loving to me. She gave me her 50 year old Daily Bread for me to read everyday, and I will always remember her for that! I will MISS her very much!
