Our adventure began with a short term mission trip to Mexico. During the week long trip, our hearts were especially touched by the genuine warmth of the people and the needs of the children. Shawn felt God's call to return to Mexico full time, and in January he shared that with me. We decided together to heed the call of God to minister to the people of Mexico. We worked with Dave and Debbie Tazelaar at Dios es mi Refugio until, in January 2008 the Lord called us to work with Horizonte Ministries in Ensenada. Horizonte Ministries has a vision to train and raise up lay people and missionaries to spread the gospel to all of Mexico, South America and "to the ends of the earth." The first phase opened in 2008, is an affiliate of Calvary Bible College in Murrieta, CA.

Ministry Verse Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Ministry Description A place where believers are rooted in God's Word and raised up by Him to reach the world. We opened a new dorm September 2010 and filled it the same semester. In March 2011 we poured another foundation and hope to have that dorm completed by February 2012. It takes many to bring glory to the kingdom of God. Some are called to go, some are called to pray, and some are called to give, we are all called to serve wherever we are. We all share in the end result. Thank you for your part in making the difference for eternity.
